Renovation runway postponed to 2011

Tuesday July 7th is announced that the renovation of the runway of Naval Airbase De Kooy and Den Helder Airport is postponed to 2011.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the renovation is delayed. The initial date of delivery, November 1st 2010 is not achievable.
The parallel runway, which will be used by helicopters during the renovation activities, will be realized this year. We expect that the renovation of the main runway will take place in spring 2011.

The main runway will not be withdrawn from use in 2010.
